What's in Your Archive?

Picture1My name is Adib and I’m 9 years old.  I recently learned about the National Bahá’í Archives, and I’m excited to learn more. I also have several special items in my own archives. One is a picture I have kept from when I was five years old. It is a picture of my sister and I with Yara Shahidi. She is a famous actress, and she also does a lot of work for social justice. She is Black and Persian just like me, and I was so very excited to meet her, and I got to hug her and talk to her for a while.  She was so kind and said we were her Seattle family.  It was a special day for me. I also have some very special items from pilgrimage that I keep in a safe place.  Pilgrimage was the most special experience of my life.

Why did this item go into your archive?

I keep these items because they are special to me, and they remind of special moments.

Why is it important to have an archive for the Bahá'í Community?

I think it helps to keep the history of our Faith alive, and helps us learn from it.
