New initiative with the Online Contribution System

To All Members of Local Spiritual Assemblies:

More than a year ago, we shared with you a new initiative in the Office of the Treasurer phasing out mailed receipts for contributions made by local treasurers on behalf of their Local Spiritual Assembly or Registered Group. This initiative will be fully implemented effective January 1, 2018, and already has resulted in a significant reduction in the Office of the Treasurer’s administrative burden and its associated costs to the National Fund.

Shoghi Effendi wrote to a believer in 1946,The Baha'is should not always be the last to take up new and obviously excellent methods, but rather the first, as this agrees with the dynamic nature of the Faith which is not only progressive, but holds within itself the seed of an entirely new culture and civilization.”

Notification of your community’s online contribution will be sent to your locality’s email address automatically after each transaction. Please be sure this address is up to date in the system.

Furthermore, we would like to request those local treasurers currently not using the Online Contribution System to please consider this more practical, efficient and cost-effective platform to make and manage all aspects of online contributions – from making contributions, to reporting and receipting –  available and accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

We wish to take this opportunity to thank the community for their understanding and support of this important cost-saving initiative as we move further into our advancing world.

Our warmest Baha'i greetings,

Office of the Treasurer
