Budget & Reporting Analyst
Feel like helping the National Spiritual Assembly prepare its budget every year? Then this job is for you. You’ll assist in the annual budget preparation process and, once it’s decided on, help managers in the Baha'i National organization, with staff from California to Maine to South Carolina, keep to it while carrying out their loving and devoted service to the National Spiritual Assembly. And that’s just part of what you’d be doing!
To do this job effectively you’ll need things like a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting or a related field; excellent communication skills; working knowledge of Microsoft Office; and a sound knowledge of the Baha'i Faith.
Deputy Controller
If you fill the Assistant Controller position you’ll get to do some amazing service for the National Spiritual Assembly, including assisting the Controller; preparing materials for the annual external audit; review and reconcile a number of ledger accounts; maintaining the corporate financial records; and supervise junior staff and their accounting work.
If you have a Bachelor’s or Master’s in accounting or business administration, 3-5 years experience as a senior accountant or as a supervisor, sound knowledge of GAAP in both for profit and non-profit environments, and strong Baha'i administrative experience then we want to talk with you.
Accounts Payable Clerk
The primary duty is to supervise the payment of all expenses of the National Spiritual Assembly in a computerized environment, while keeping management abreast of the cash flow needs. Other major duties include generating 1099 reports, assisting with the yearly audit, working with vendors, and assisting with simple bank reconciliations.
Requirements for this job include bookkeeping and/or accounts payable experience and training; strong knowledge of Baha'i principles and administration; working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of applications; and previous supervisory experience.
Assistant Campaigns
For those of you who like to write and also have experience offering presentations, you want to check this position out. Your duties would be to assist with the development of the capital campaigns of the National Spiritual Assembly. That means writing for a variety of audiences in a variety of formats, including correspondence with individuals and institutions, stories for print publications and for the web, and reports on progress achieved.
A Bachelor’s degree is preferred, and a background in any number of fields such as Business, Education, Communications, Marketing, or Finance, would serve you well in this path of service. You’ll also need exceptional written and oral communication skills, the ability to work well independently and with groups, creativity, flexibility, reliability, and, above all, a desire to serve Baha'u'llah and the National Spiritual Assembly to the utmost of your ability.
Campaigns Office Administrative Assistant
If you
fill this position you will get to play a key role in the exciting and
historic undertaking to develop the physical infrastructure of the
Baha'i community, including the restoration of the Mother Temple of
North America, and the building of the Mother Temple of South America,
the last of the continental Temples!
Just some of the things you’d be doing include corresponding with
individuals and institutions, managing of a variety of publications,
both print and online, conducting presentations on behalf of the
Nati
onal Spiritual Assembly, and organizing visits hosted by the
National Spiritual Assembly.
Assistant to the Fund Development Officer
The Deputy Fund
Development Officer does a lot of things, including conceiving,
planning, and executing fund development programs.
You’ll be doing things like corresponding with treasurers, developing and editing content for various kinds of communications, such as e-newsletters and websites, offering presentations and trainings on behalf of the National Spiritual Assembly, and collaborating with various offices and agencies of the National Spiritual Assembly.
Requirements
A Bachelor’s degree is preferred, and a background in any number of
fields such as Business, Education, Communications, Marketing, or
Finance, would serve you well in this path of service. You’ll also need
exceptional written and oral communication skills, the ability to work
well independently and with groups, creativity, flexibility,
